The British driver Susie Wolff participated in the Friday practice of British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit, becoming the first woman to do so after 22 years in Formula 1.
Susie was (and is) very attached to Mary Villota, so that we can say, somehow, Mary's dream of competing in Formula 1, has actually done this week at Silverstone. In fact, the pilot bore Mary Star of Villota on his helmet
His participation in practice sessions 1 and 2 Friday was not very positive, since it could only complete 4 laps of the track with mechanical problems of his Williams. Susie was disappointed with what happened, but assumed that these things sometimes happen in the world of racing.
